Senior Policy and Project Officer

Randstad is searching for a skilled and accomplished Senior Policy and Project Officer who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in their field. About your new role

In this role, the Senior Policy and Project Officer investigates the complex experiences of Aboriginal women affected by domestic violence within the criminal justice system. You will drive project outcomes by conducting in-depth research into current NSW practices and existing literature. Central to this position is the ability to engage with Aboriginal stakeholders through a lens of high cultural intelligence and deep respect.

What you will need to exceed

• You must demonstrate a high degree of cultural intelligence to work respectfully with Aboriginal stakeholders.
• You should have a strong understanding of the specific issues and experiences facing Aboriginal women.
• Having lived experience within Aboriginal communities is highly desirable and would allow you to provide deeper insight into the work.
• You should be skilled at conducting research across literature and current practices in New South Wales.
• You must be able to translate complex research findings into clear policy insights regarding the criminal justice system.
• Familiarity with navigating government frameworks and departmental structures is essential for project success.
• You will need strong project support skills to keep the work on track within very tight timeframes.
